4 WAYS TO HELP YOU LIVE IN THE PRESENT MOMENT


Life can only be lived HERE—in the PRESENT. The gift is the now, that is why it is called a present!!! 
 
Our minds are very active and constantly contemplating the past, the future, and pure fantasy. There is s saying that goes; if you are living in the past, you are depressed, if you are living in the future, you are anxious, if you are living in the present, you are at peace. While it is good to prepare for the future and learn from the past, focusing on the present is essential. Here are 8 ways to help you live in the moment.

1. Turn off electronics: Turn off all devices!!!! These take you out of the present moment and bring you to an imaginary fantasyland that takes you out of your true self and what is truly important. Take time to detach and BE.

2. Avoid multitasking: Give all of your attention to one thing at a time. This is not only good for your brain and memory, but also assists in mindfulness. 

3. Move slow and deliberately: Rushing creates a sense of anxiety. Move slowly with attention, intention, and deliberate action. 

4. Spend time in nature: Nature achieves perfection with effortless ease; without trying to be perfect. She is our greatest teacher; get quiet and listen to her simple yet profound lessons.
